Happy Tuesday, lovely friends!
Can you believe its December already? Oh my goodness, where is the time going?! Anyone else wishing that life came with a pause button? If any of you know where I can find one of those, please let me know. I need one right about now! Haha. December is such a wonderful and magical time, but with the holidays it also feels like time passes us by so fast! Between work deadlines, Christmas parties, family and friends reunions, I feel like there’s not enough time for everything I would like to do like sleep all day and watch Netflix all night, you know? Haha. I’m joking. I love being busy during the holiday season. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
One thing I love about December in Maryland is that the weather (for the most part) feels just about right. It may not be hot anymore, but it’s not terribly cold either. I can still wear my layers, but there’s no need for the heavy coats just yet.
Today’s look has been pretty much my uniform as of late. Thin long sleeves + a jacket + dress pants + heels = easy, chic, and fun. If you notice, each piece in this look is a basic. I love my basics because you can do so much with them! You can create countless outfits with them together and/or separately. I bet most of you already have most of these pieces in your closet. Replicating this look should be rather easy. All I did to keep things interesting is a little print mixing (I love black/white stripes and herringbone anything for the colder seasons) and play with a little color. I chose the color red because is such a classic for the holidays! It also elevates the look to a whole new level. Your basic pieces don’t look so basic anymore, don’t you think? 😉
