Happy Valentine’s Day, lovely friends! I can’t believe we’re here already! I mean, is it just me or is this the weirdest, busiest, and, fastest winter ever?! Honestly, I’m not even going to complain about the lack of snow in my area or the gorgeous fall-like temperatures that we’ve gotten to enjoy every other week. However, I do feel like this winter is going by so quickly and perhaps it’s the weather that has something to do with it. Has winter been normal in your area? I hope you’re all having a wonderful season thus far!
You guys, the hubs and I finally got internet in our new house! [Insert fireworks emoji here for me please] It only took 2 months and 9 days for the two companies in charge to get it together… but let me just concentrate on the happiness and excitement about having both the internet and TV back in my life.
Speaking of things that are back in my life, I finally managed to incorporate my regular fitness routine you guys! After weeks of adjustments and figuring life out in our new house and city, I did it. I did two intense workouts over the weekend and it was like riding a bike. My body was a bit sore afterwards, but I feel so good! You see, working out for me is sort of a big deal. I let go of all my frustrations, negativity and stress during my workouts. More than just staying in shape, life at the gym is essential to feeling liberated, focused and energized. Those are key to happiness and success in my life, so needless to say I’m beyond excited to be able to workout again.
Now, it’s time to get to the actual important part of today’s post. About time, right? Haha.
Inspired by love and Valentine’s Day, today’s outfit is as feminine as it can be because, well, why not? I got this gorgeous skirt as a gift from one of my friends and fellow blogger a few months ago and I had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. While the skirt makes a statement on its own, pairing it up with my red sweater was the perfect choice not only because of red and pink being Valentine’s Day colors but also because it provides a lovely color contrast. I got this faux fur vest from Marshals a few seasons ago and I decided to incorporate it in this look because it’s winter and I needed something to keep me warm during the photoshoot (lol), but also because the vest really is what takes this outfit from soft and pretty to instant elegance and sort of old school glam.
I got this necklace from another fellow blogger, instafriend and newly small business owner Yasi from Hello Gorgeous Blog/Boutique! I can’t get enough of it, it’s the perfect amount of bling for this outfit. I finished the look with this cute bag and my regular sandals and I kept those neutral since I already have enough color and sparkles throughout.
What do you guys think about today’s look? I hope you guys enjoyed it! I’ll be back with a new outfit soon. Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day my lovely friends and don’t forget to: “spread love [and sparkles ;)] everywhere you go.”
